Services We Offer
Donegal Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal veterinary hospital. In addition to providing routine preventive care for dogs and cats, we also offer dental cleanings, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, digital radiography and HomeAgain microchipping. We have an in-house pharmacy and laboratory, prescription diets, and carry flea and tick topicals and heartworm preventatives.
We love small pets, too!
Do you have a pet that doesn't meow or bark? Dr. Dill also treats rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and rats.
In-house Laboratory, Pharmacy & Prescription foods
Our IN-HOUSE LABORATORY allows us to deliver test results sooner for many routine and diagnostic tests, including health screening, preanesethtic blood work, blood chemistry panels, and parasite and viral testing. We work with outside laboratories when more specialized testing is needed.
Our ON-SITE PHARMACY carries prescription medicated shampoos, parasite preventative medications and treatments, dental hygiene products, as well as prescribed oral medications, like antibiotics, vitamins and supplements. Is your furry friend in need a medication refill? Call our office during our regular hours and we normally can have your prescription refill ready to pick up in 24 hours.
Many pets have special dietary needs due to allergies, illness or weight problems. Donegal Animal Hospital carries dry and canned Hill’s Science Diet PRESCRIPTION FOODS AND TREATS, IVD Royal Canin diets, Greenies feline dental treats, and Greenies Pill Pockets to help lessen the chore of giving your dog or cat their medication.
Pets age much more rapidly than we do, so yearly exams are highly important. Annual wellness exams keep your pet healthy and provide early diagnosis of serious health issues. As well as a physical exam, our veterinarians recommend checking for internal and external parasites on a regular basis, and a great time to do this is during your pet's yearly physical exam. Vaccinations are also part of our preventative care.
Digital radiology allows your veterinarian to assess your pet's x-rays much faster compared to traditional x-rays, with the added benefit of having better image quality. The x-rays can be copied to a CD for transport to a referral specialist, or if you are a referred client, the CD can be given to your referring veterinarian.
Dental procedures keep your pet’s oral hygiene in perfect condition. Our dental suite includes a high speed drill and digital dental radiography, in addition to the basic polishing and cleaning equipment. This instrumentation allows us to diagnose dental disease at its earliest stage and intervene to prevent further progression of the disease. Not only does this help protect your pet from long term bacterial infections, gum loss, and bad breath, but can also help to prevent kidney, liver and heart disease.

Donegal Animal Hospital provides our patients with routine surgeries such as spaying and neutering, growth removals, cherry eye repairs, and hernia repair. During surgery, our patients’ anesthesia levels and vital signs are monitored by our trained technicians with the latest equipment. A warming blanket under the patient helps maintain body temperature. Patients are closely monitored after surgery to ensure safe recovery.
At Donegal Animal Hospital we perform orthopedic surgery that includes cranial cruciate ligament repair, internal fixation for fracture repair, as well as correction and repair of congenital (birth) defects that cause abnormalities in the hips. We also will design a post-operative physical therapy and rehabilitation program and educate our owners on how to best bring their pets back to normal day to day function.
